So day two of attempting to get up early was a FAIL. Set the alarm on my phone but then put my phone on silent so I never heard the phone alarm go off. That was a total FAIL on my part. Again I slept till almost 8:30am. I am tired lately. Dang heat is zapping me of all my energy and making me so exhausted.
I didn't really feel like I had exercised much this week but after I looked at my log I realized that I had worked out over 300 mins this week which isn't bad at all. In fact thats a lot compared to some other weeks. Am I actually working harder than I thought I was and didn't realize it? How come I felt like I was being so lazy this week then?
Maybe I feel like I'm being lazy because I'm not doing Cardio everyday. I'm doing alternating days of cardio and resistance training and also taking a day off here and there which isn't a bad thing or bad way of doing things its just different than my previous routine. I can say though that today I tired on the smallest pair of jeans I own (a size 12 NY & Co Jeans) and they fit. Not even like snug fit but loose fit so I must be doing something right. I've also upped my calorie intake this week to around 1500 to 1600 since it's so hot and I feel like I'm working really hard to do normal things and not sweat. The 1200 just left me feeling really hungry (probably because I was burning more calories than I thought)
I'm still going to attempt to go for a run in the morning. Maybe tomorrow (the third try) will be the charm and I'm picking up P90x (I hope) so I can start that on Monday. Even if I don't get started on a new routine right away school will start back up in a few weeks and I'll be able to change up my routine then. In fact it might be a little easier to spend some extra time on it when I don't have to play ref to my moody kids and their fights. :)
