This morning I woke up feeling better than I have in days. Sleep does wonders for a body. I don't think I would have gotten up at 7am though had my son not started screaming down stairs that he had to go potty or the fact that the power was out this morning and it was weirdly quiet in the house. Either way I rested and felt refreshed. Since I couldn't have my normal breakfast we had cereal, bananas, and milk. Not a bad breakfast but I didn't feel satisfied and stayed away from taking my normal vitamins since I know they upset my stomach.
It dawned me as I took my pills this afternoon and my stomach started to hurt that maybe just maybe the vitamins that I'm taking are no longer what my body needs and thus I'm in pain because of it. My diet on the whole has gotten a lot better over the last few months. I started taking vitamins before that though to help supplement my nutritional needs. I'm begining to think that the vitamins aren't helping me now though but are in fact too much. I mean when you get your recommened FDA amounts of each food group you pretty much cover it all and don't need the additional supplements, right?
Have any of you experienced problems with vitamins? What do you take regularly? What do you think I should do?
I'm wondering if maybe I should stop taking my vitamins for a little bit and see if the stomach problems stop all together.
Oh and my ankle feels better it's just this sour stomach thing/pain that I've got going on that seems to be keeping me from exercising. When you feel like you might be sick the whole time it deters you from working out. I just want to rest.
Vitamins....there's so much research about them...if they are useful or not, especially if you are getting your food sources...you know? I'm not a real good vitamin person...they hurt my stomach if I don't eat enough with them. Tell me what you find out!
ReplyDeleteI'm like Jara. I feel sick if I don't have something to eat when I take my multivitamin. I take one everyday though:

It could just be a mental thing, but I think that it helps me out.
