After my last post I was feeling kinda whatever.
Today I found my motivation again though
I took the kids up for some dinner at the restaurant my husband works at and got to talking to one of the guys there. He told me he could see a huge difference in the way I look and asked how much I've lost. Honestly I was blown away. I see this guy and many others on a regular basis and because of my build it's not so easy for people or for myself to see any weight changes. I was thrilled that someone noticed and then he said, "keep it up you look great!"
Wow...just wow. So someone did notice and felt compelled to say something. I'm thakful I needed to hear that. It's the best compliment and makes want to continue working so hard to reach my goal.
I realize that I shouldn't put my whole confidence in this one guys comments but it's enough to help me see what I'm doing is good and that others are starting to notice.
Besides that awesome comment today I also was able to fit into my Word Made Flesh T-shirt. I love Jara and when she told me they were selling the shirts I made sure to get one. I bought a large and it fit like saran wrap. I'm not kidding so tight. I felt wrong decent wearing it outside of my house. Well today I wore that shirt and it fit. My arms didn't feel squeezed my stomach was not showing and I felt good. I also tried on several other shirts that I have from my band promotions that were pretty much the same deal and they fit too.
So I'm optimistic. I'll continue with my current workout routine until I can get my hands on the p90x (which will be soon I hope) and I will continue to endure. I'm sure a change in my workout routine will help snap me out of this rut. I also found some yummy recipes in some old cooking light magazines and am looking forward to trying out some new stuff. I've also set a goal that I should drink at least 3 8oz glasses of water at each meal. More water should help my energy level too so I'm not dragging so hard during this summer weather.
My mini goal is to lose 5 lbs by my birthday which is on the 17th. I have a really adorable dress I want to wear and I want to kick off my last year in my twenties that much closer to my end goal. I am still working on my list of 30 things to do before I'm 30. Not sure what to put on the list but I'm working on it.
I'm seriously grinning ear to ear :) So happy!
