The scale is Evil

Ok so I was reading this thread on the beachbody website that got me thinking.

You can check out the thread here: http://teambeachbody.com/connect/message-boards/-/message_boards/message/65934434

Anyways the guy talks about how P90x is changing his body in good ways but yet the number on the scale is actually going up instead of down.

I know say what? He was trying to trim down and he's actually bulking up. He looks great and he's not even done yet and he has this quote about the scale that I thought was so true....

"The scale shows you your weight, not your worth."

It's totally true. I've been feeling good with 4 days of P90x and guess what when I weighed myself today (it's not my weigh in day I just wanted to see what it would say) and it says I weigh 4lbs more than I did than when I started.

Huh? How can that be right? I know the number is affected by a lot of things and that I shouldn't worry but when you put all your trust into a number on a scale it can be super discouraging. Granted I've only completed 4 days and it's not like I expected to drop 4 lbs right off but it was a bit of a disappointment to see the number get bigger on the scale than smaller.

This thread couldn't have come at a better time. I just need to keep with the work and keep doing what I am doing. I feel good. I feel energized and there will be results in the end.

I'm making movements in the right direction and I'm being the healthiest me I can be right now and that is what is the most important thing despite whatever number on the scale says.

Anyways if you are like me and look at that scale once or even twice a week remember that it's just a number and not our worth. Keep up the good work everyone!
