Perspective

Perspective. That's what I needed the other day.

I love my husband. We had another talk about my frustrations about things (he's so good to listen to me cry yet again about how I'm feeling lol) and he pointed out to me that I started this weight journey again on January 15th. I've stuck with it even when I haven't felt good and that I'm losing a 1lb a week and that's great. Better yet I'm not using any unsafe methods for losing the weight and that he can tell a difference even if I can't. I know right? What a great husband.

He's right since I started this journey I have lost 18 lbs (could be more I haven't weighed myself for this week yet) and have gone down 2 pant sizes. I had this weight loss ticker on the top of the blog that said I lost 1 lb (which is what I'd lost since we started this 31 day challenge) but changed it to show what I've lost even before this challenge. It probably sounds dumb but it makes me feel like I've accomplished something. Not that a 1lb isn't good it's just not as exciting. Anyways I also realized with my husbands and Jara's kind words that I have to remember that this isn't a short term race. This is something I'm doing long term and that I have to remember on the days when I don't feel the difference that I'm actually doing it and that it takes time. Dang Biggest Loser on TV making it look easy...ok kinda easy who really wants to work out 24 hours in a day anyways? lol.

So yeah I'm back on track and feeling good and focusing on what I've done already and how far I've come. Also thinking maybe it'll be easier to set myself up with some smaller goals to get me excited and find something to reward myself with. I already told Todd when I hit my target goal I'm buying a really expensive pair of shoes. :) Need to do some brainstorming for some goals and rewards but I feel recharged and have a whole new outlook on things.
