So the other day I picked up a yoga and a pilates dvd to try out. The yoga was nice. I obviously need to work on my breathing but I was relaxed and felt good doing it. I only did a 20 min session and then today I'm SORE! So today I thought would be a good time to try the pilates dvd since I didn't plan on doing any cardio on the elliptical. Ouch! Ok 50 mins and now I'm really sore. Apparently my core muscles are none existent and I hurt in places I didn't even know I could. Will I do either of them again....you bet. :) I will probably save my pilates for the days that I don't feel like doing the normal cardio routine (weekends) and do the yoga in the evenings after I've already done my other workouts. Totally worth the investment and I'm sure my neck will stop hurting after I do the dvds a couple of times and don't have to crane my neck to see what I'm suppose to be doing. lol.
Goals I accomplished this week:
I made a menu for meals and stuck with it for a whole week. Not as hard as I thought it would be. There were a couple of meals switched around for different days but everything that gotten written down was completed. I've even got next weeks grocery list written down and the meals planned out for that.
I got fitted for running shoes. Woohoo! Need to buy them but at least I know what I'm buying when I have the funds.
No wknd getaway with the hubby but we do have a date night planned for Monday so I'm considering that goal done for now.
I did some sort of mini strength training each day so that's done too.
Ab exercises twice a week (yeah I think I did that between the yoga and pilates I think I can count this one off the list too)
Things I still need to do in the last week of this challenge:
-go to church even if Todd can't go
-buy a swimsuit that I like
-skincare that works for me
-Go for a run outside in the morning
-no meat for a day
-body pictures
-Inspiration letters
I know that I can do the rest of this this week! I'm also trying to figure out what to do after this challenge is over and what goals I can set myself before Fall gets here. Who knows though...let's finish this one before I start another challenge. lol
