Wowzers....

First off thank you to those that prayed for me over the last few days or reached out to me in some way. I want you to know that I appreciated it and that it helped. I felt loved and it really did help me through my dark spot. I do appologize for my vague post though. I had some very traumatic things happen to me as a child and over the last few weeks I've been rejected by family members (yet again) and then witnessed a child being abused by his father (something I know all to well) and it brought back lots of really really ugly memories and pain for me. I was emotionally so upset and distraut that I was physically ill. Headaches, stomach pains, couldn't sleep, exhaustion because I wasn't sleeping...etc.

It took a couple of really really bad days for me to move on but I'm doing better today. I'm doing more than better. I actually feel happy and free again. I will continue to battle with my past for the rest of my life but I can move on from it.

Ok now on to the workout stuff.

I finally got around to starting P90X today. Wowzers, it was hard. I'm glad I purchased my heart rate monitor otherwise I would not have thought that I was working so hard. 924 calories. I couldn't keep up the dvd but I love that Tony keeps telling us to do what we can and forget the rest. Granted it was day one and I hadn't done anyworking out in a few days but I was feeling like I was very much out of shape. Oh and did I mention I stink at push ups. Yeah diamond backs make me laugh and the pushups you do with the chair are impossible for me at the moment but then again I've got time to figure it out and will just continue to do my best.

Oh Ab Ripper X after doing the normal stuff is hard too. Would it be better to do it at a seperate time in the day?

Running...yeah haven't started that outside yet. I do need to start though. Also need to actually print out my form to sign up for that 5K in October. Gotta get on that soon.

  1. p90x is serious! i'm so glad you've been able to start!!!! I've heard some people start with the ab ripper first...but it's really up to you. See what it's like to do it in the morning/evening before your workout...without your workout. etc. WOOHOO!
