The Good:
-Just got Turbo Jam in and will be starting that really soon
-Was talked into doing another 5K this year. On the 11th I'll be running the Reindeer Ramble 5K at Keenland Park with my sister Siobhan and her fellow teachers.
-Shakeology arrived today...I think I might have even started singing I was so happy.
-I survived hosting a holiday meal (see my 30 before 30 list) and that was really awesome.
-Found a sitter so I can try and go to some Fit Clubs in the area that is if there are any more mtgs before the end of the year
The bad:
-Have not run since my last 5K which was the Turkey Strut
-No real workouts either
-Ran out of Shakeology for a week and was feeling bleh
-Spending a lot of time reading since I've been kinda feeling bleh
The Ugly: (or the reality)
-Weight stats: 169.5lbs (which is the same weight I was back on Oct 30th.) Haven't lost weight but haven't gained either. Guess I'm doing a good job maintaining but still am not in my healthy BMI range.
-I got really winded doing the kids workout video the other day that is like 20 mins long. Not hard but man of man was I tired from that. I guess I shouldn't be so hard on myself since I was wearing a wool sweater and jeans when I did it but still I was tired when I got done and I really shouldn't have been.
-Must resist empty calories at work. Lots of baked goods have been showing up at work and it's very difficult to stay away from all that goodness. I have a feeling that's part of why I've not really lost much weight. It's all so good but also so very very bad for me.
I have a mix of it all going on right now. While I know that I should kick myself into high gear I'm finding that as the cold weather sets in I just want to read and eat soup and stay in bed all day. Obvisoulsy that's not the best thing for myself or for my family but I'm having a hard time finding the motivation to get moving. Wondering how do you handle the winter blahs? Do you give yourself a bit of break when it comes to working out and focus more on your eating or do you kick it all into high gear and workout even harder? In any event I'm gonna have to suck it up and go buy a pair of running tights since I did just commit myself to running another 5K. Eeeek!
